Fun in the sun

Fishing, sun and more fun.
What a day..... Up early, launched at 8:30 with the temperature around 28 ready to catch some Snapper - It was not to be but the kids are starting to get into it. The boat (review) is a breeze to manage and we were back home midday to enjoy the pool and a sausage sizzle.

My Son Graduates................................from Kinder? Oi Vey
What is happening to this world of ours. Everyones a winner, nobody loses and we're always on the guard not to offend. SOD THAT. Learn to lose, it's the only way you'll ever be able to win in life. If you have a fat kid, put the little bugger on a diet...... No, you're not big boned, slow to metabolise or "I'm slightly {insert condition here}" e.g. Bi-Polar, ADHD. Münchausen syndrome anyone? - Rant Over

Chop off those balls
November was Martin's 5th birthday and the start of summer..........The gas heating got switched off and the evaporative cooling gets its first test of the year. We had a fun weekend at a great mate and mentor who has a farm up north (1200 Olive trees). Georgie got to hold down the lambs while rubber bands were put on their tails and.... scrotum's so they'd fall off over the next six weeks. Boy did I feel for those buggers............ seeing the remnants of two lambs that foxes got hold of really brings home the reality of farming. PS. It is hard work!
Aaaaaaaaa Forgot, got a fish tank - The only pets allowed on the Neubauer premises ..... The saddest moment is the odd flushing of a dear departed fish....

What happened ? For the life of me I cannot remember....... I (Karl) have been so under the pump at work I have no idea of what we did between Karl and Martin's birthday.......... Aaaaaaaaaaaaa now I remember. It was the Melbourne show..............and my Mom was here - The time flew.
PS. I've never known someone to take back 10kg of soap and chocolates.... Don't they have that stuff in South Africa ?

We can smell summer
Sold my motorcycle (yes there were tears) which equates to a smaller CC debt.
Mom (Gran) arrives next week and we're prepared for a full month of activities. The boys got their football medals for participation and are now looking forward to Milo cricket - Damn, I love the weather here and sunny winter BBQ's.
Company golf days and family crisis meetings while installing Karl Jnr's bed was the order of the week at Le' Neu Bauer res.

Spring is just a few sleeps away
What a crazy month. Work is manic and so is the family so what do we do, we support the Saints. It's been cold, wet and dark (like an English summer) and we are all holding out for Spring.
The boys were quite cute when they hollered to passers by to buy our bushels of home grown parsley --> We Made $5 :-) Then it was time to make Biltong with a few beers.
Been quite busy in the garage doing my DIYd (d=disaster) and letting the boys let rip with their Nike golf clubs. (chewing up my bloody lawn) PS. The missus takes her frustrations out on the drums.....We all wish she would use the damn headphones.

Mid Winter
What the hell do you do in winter ? It's a freezing 14 degrees and the darn water keeps falling from the sky, who would have thought? Now, what to do - ? Time for a boat show to see what Dad will buy for summer (not that I can afford it or anything) and back for some 5.1 BluRay entertainment and DJ Mix.
Our garden is coming on (things actually grow here in winter) and evenings are fire filled with marshmallows.
Check out my mates Golf and Foodi Blog to the right................ Live the Dream.

Winter 2012
Winter has arrived and life just gets more hectic (and fun at the same time). We visited a ray and shark feeding aquarium. The kids loved it and next time we’ll go in. Last week we took a drive to Hastings, a typical Victorian fishing village in Australia. Boy was the place dead, I’m talking rigamortis dead with the only activity at the local McD.
We went to the Precious Metal Ball last night hosted by Olivia Newton John… It was loads of fun and shed loads of money was raise for cancer research.
Skiing soon – Watch this space.

Party 2012
The old party merry-go-round is on again and this time it was Oliver's party..... Wicked indoor skate-park where the boys had fun with an injury waiver.... USA here we come...
Georgie participated in her company's golf day where she won the longest drive competition (go figure) &
I just bought a new GPS head-unit for my car which hopefully I will be able to drive soon. (did I mention new tyres and various RalliArt trinkets). {live the dream}
Boys are still lovely (kinda) and getting along more and more as time ticks.
Freak Party Pooper

Auskick
May......Well, busy does not describe how the days flow. Football (soccer) season is PAUSED for 3 weeks but that does not stop Auskick for Karl Jnr. I have bought a new car which is unregistered so I commute to work by motorcycle once again. What an amazing ride along the bay while the sun rises and the smell of the sea rushing thought my helmet while I break all the speed limits..... :-) (only kidding my dear Nazi Victorian Police-Force)
Melbourne is truly a magical city and once we get rid of cyclist who think they are part of the Tour de France, I'll be happy as Larry.
PS Karl lost his first TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH

Pleasantville
Easter has come and gone..... A new job and Autumn is upon us..... As things change they still remain the same... Well, almost. We had a great few weeks with glorious weather (mid to high 20's) and time to enjoy it. I have bought a new car as the old one is dying, slowly, and I need something reliable to commute to the city each day.
The boys were great today, helping with the car washing after football practice and a small snack at the shopping center (NO they did not get anything for a change). Then it was time to play outside, do some gardening and just have fun.
NOTE: Karl Jnr scored an awesome goal today and Martin's team won.

Holiday Camp Australia
Just a short post on the comings and goings....... It was another glorious weekend with weather in the mid 20's and loads of activities. For the 4th year in a row we were off to the GranPrix to enjoy all it has to offer...... (Its facilities are HEAPS better than the majority of European events.)
Sunday football (soccer for the uninformed) where Martin scored his first goal and a visit to the Mordialloc Food Festival that is held each year was the morning activity. Now its back home.... Some Wii / BBQ and well earned rest ready to take on Monday "bloody morning".
