Martin's 8th Birthday

Martin decided that this year he didn't want to celebrate his Birthday in the morning but rather wait until he got home after school.

His choice for dinner, Mexican, so we headed off to Viva Mexico for nachos, tacos and margaritas! After dinner, we came home and had Birthday cake and opened his presents.
First up, a spy watch, followed by a build your own dinosaur, football net and what he's been wishing for all along...Tracy Island...oh, and don't forget money from grandad and granny from the UK and SA...lucky boy:)

Xtremeair Birthday Party

This year, we held the boys combined Birthday party at Xtremeair. 20 kids, 90mins, it cost an absolute bomb but at least we did not have to clean up. And the best part about the party, wasn't the foam pit or the trampolines....it was the food fight!

(NOTE: The hosts said that this party was the messiest they had ever seen).

Karl's Birthday 2015

Unbelievable; Karl turned ten: What did Dad organise for the day? Yes, a "Lego Robotics Course" - The ultimate surprise and boy o boy did the boys hate it. It's the whole new laziness that has infected the both Gen-Y and Gen-Z.

Sovereign Hill 2015

Another year and my mother flew in to look after the kids on school holidays. This year we went to Sovereign Hill as its somewhere we have never been and is a big part of Austrian history.....  We stayed at the Red Lion Hotel in Ballarat which ticked all the boxes. Sadly now Martin had Karl's flu and his temp was hovering around the 40 mark and when it broken he still had some fun. It was a good holiday and we look forward to going again.

Recital

After a week of the flu and many days at home with Karl Jnr he managed to make his first piano recital, While not quite Ludwig Van he made his parents proud even though we now have to pay him to keep going to lessons. The boys are adjusting well to their new school and Karl even got Star of the week for basically sharpening up his attitude. Spring is coming and things are looking up.

School Play 2015

Another post with no pictures as the video says it all.... The kids are adapting well to the new school and there's as much disciple as possible in the 10's. Kids today get away with murder and live a reality one could only have if you had being brought up in some drug induced religious sect. We are in serious trouble as while Gen X like a bit of fun and and Gen Y kind-of got to work, I think Gen Z, aka the digital natives, are totally screwed.

2015 MT-09A

NEWS - I have a new bike that I cannot afford - Living the dream. MT-09 Tracker ABS

It's been a while and with my MBA (I have three more subjects to go and it's over), with the  growing boys and managing the football team, I have very little time for blogging.

It's olive time, the boys did most of the work. Picking, washing, sorting, cutting and Mum made up the brine. It's been soaking now for 3 weeks, nearly ready.....! Dad needs to step it up a little.

The weather has been woeful with global-warming not making an appearance in Australia. George's job is getting pretty intense and life is whizzing by at 299792458 metres per second.

Paynesville 2015

Family holiday to Paynesville. It's a place that time forgot. Once the French Riviera of Victoria, now a home the aged and the Bogan. Websites lie ! Riverside restaurants were empty and dilapidated, the high streets full of empty shops from a bygone era. The place was so desolate that even the fish had left. The food was ordinary to the point of forgetfulness and the ambiance was non-existent. The only silver lining was Raymond Island and the kids happiness of getting away. I love those two boys and someday I'll be a good dad.

Why can't everyday be like today

2015 has arrived and what better way to bring in the new year than with a few beers on the ocean, well Port Philip Bay actually. This time we launch at Patterson Lakes  and travelled out to about 12 meters to try and catch something...Channel 96 was full of "Where are the fish?" and " At least a bad day's fishing is better than a good day at work!", so we headed off to the beach with the thermometer hitting 40. We anchored off Carrum and the boys enjoyed diving in to the clear cool water.
